Initially, we will discuss your medical and family history regarding hearing health and address the situations you are struggling with the most. Whether or not you have a history of recreational or occupational noise exposure is extremely important and will help determine our action plan. We don’t just want to sell you a product, we want to help provide a solution that will work for you.
We will conduct a comprehensive hearing evaluation to determine your type and degree of hearing loss. Once we have established the specifics of your hearing loss, we will discuss your options and ultimately, make a recommendation based on your hearing needs and your lifestyle. At Niagara Hearing & Health we will not upsell you the most expensive solution, we will work with you to determine what product is best for you.
A short time after your initial evaluation and consultation, you will return to our clinic for a hearing aid fitting. We will fit your hearing aids to prescription based on your hearing loss. We will ensure your hearing aids are comfortable and ensure you are comfortable handling them. This is imperative for you to go about your day seamlessly and efficiently.
We go over everything with you; how to charge your hearing aids or change the batteries, how to properly put them in your ears and how to adjust them. We recommend bringing a guest to this appointment, specifically someone you interact with regularly, as hearing loss can also affect those close to you. Sharing your hearing health journey with someone you care about is important in producing successful outcomes. We will ensure you have the knowledge and skills necessary to take care of your new hearing aids and get the most out of them.
Approximately a week after you receive your hearing aids, you will come in so we can make sure everything is working and you are satisfied with your products. It is common for hearing aids to need a few adjustments early on to get them working to their full potential, so follow-ups are an important part of the hearing care process.
Our service to you does not end when you walk out the door. All hearing aids purchases from Niagara Hearing & Health include a three-year service plan and repair warranty, and two years of loss and damage coverage. We are happy to provide you with unlimited adjustments and encourage you to contact us for all your hearing needs.
